The Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, CAS (APM) presently opens the director and deputy director positions of the State Key Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Imaging (Wuhan, China) for applications. The State Key Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Imaging is restructured and optimized from the State Key Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance and Atomic and Molecular Physics, and the CAS Key Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance in Biological Systems. The positioning of the key laboratory is to address demands in interdisciplinary frontiers and life health, establish new principles that break through the conventional limits of magnetic resonance signal sensitivity, spatial and temporal resolution, develop the new magnetic resonance key technologies for in vivo multi-nuclear, ultra-sensitive, ultra-fast and ultra-high-resolution imaging, bring clinical magnetic resonance from "traditional hydrogen imaging" to "multi-element imaging", advance molecular mechanism research from "ex-vivo to in-cell and in-vivo", open up a new direction for in situ molecular science, and lead the new magnetic resonance research. The three main research directions are magnetic resonance theory, ultra-sensitive magnetic resonance key technology, and in-situ molecular science of magnetic resonance.
APM was established by merging the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the CAS (founded in 1958) and the Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics of the CAS (founded in 1957). Through hard working in the field of magnetic resonance for more than 60 years, APM has established and developed a series of innovative theories, methods, technologies, and equipment in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging. A research center around magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging has been formed. Currently in the field of magnetic resonance, APM has 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , 2 Creative Research Groups of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 8 winners of Chinese National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, and 1 winner of the National Innovation Competition Award. Besides, APM has 4 national-level platforms including State Key Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Imaging and the National Center for Magnetic Resonance in Wuhan, 3 provincial and ministerial-level professional platforms. APM is also the Chairman Institute of the Magnetic Resonance Technology Alliance of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
1. Positions
(1) Laboratory Director
Fullengagement in the work of the laboratory, promote the output of major achievements, and upgrade the status and influence of the laboratory in the field of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging.
Application requirements:
(a) The applicant should be an internationally recognized leading talent in the field of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging. Their research direction should align with the main focus of the key laboratory. Moreover, they should possess a broad strategic vision, profound scientific knowledge, forward thinking and judgment skills, interdisciplinary understanding capability, excellent organizational and leadership skills. Furthermore, they should be dedicated to scientific research and maintain a diligent and studious work ethic.
(b) The candidate should commit to working full-time in the laboratory and be under the age of 50.
(2) DeputyLaboratory Director
Assist the laboratory director in completing various tasks, promote the output of major achievements, and upgrade the status and influence of the laboratory in the field of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging.
Application requirements:
(a) The candidate should be a leading talent with exceptional innovation skills and potential in the field of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging, whose research focus should align with the key laboratory's main direction. They should have good international academic reputation and recognition from both domestic and international peers. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational and teamwork abilities, as well as effective management skills.
(b) The candidate should commit to working full-time in the laboratory and be under the age of 45.
2. Remuneration & Benefits:
