Abstract
In this talk, I will talk about the procedure to discretize soliton equations via the superposition formulaes. As well-known, Backlund transformation is used to construct integrable difference equations. However, Backlund transformation only connects two solutions of a soliton equation and the result equations are not suitable to construct the numerical simulation algrithms. The superposition formulae is a relation among 4 solutions and can give a way to build local integrable difference equations.
